Our privacy policy explains how information is collected, used and disclosed by SmartRoam with respect to your access and use of SmartRoam's services, whether through our website or SmartRoam’s mobile application, ChatTime or in connection with social networking services (referred to below as “ChatTime”).

What Information Do We Collect?

When you create an account with ChatTime

We collect certain information you provide to us when using ChatTime, such as when you create an account, make a phone call using ChatTime or send us an email or support request. We collect certain personal information, like your email address, your telephone number and non-identifying information such as your country and local operator.

The ChatTime iPhone application also automatically collects certain information when you create an account and use ChatTime, such as your location/GPS coordinates, your iPhone UDID (which is encrypted) and your Internet Protocol (IP) address..

To provide seamless integration with your native iPhone contact list, ChatTime imports your address book information, this data serves only to enable the ease of making free or low cost international calls to your contacts using ChatTime, this information is not stored or used for any other purpose.

We will also retain the telephone number of anyone you may make a free or low cost to using ChatTime.

When you purchase ChatTime credits using a credit card

In the event you request to purchase ChatTime credits using a credit card, ChatTime will retain credit card billing information including the card holder name, credit card type, credit card number and expiration date for billing purposes only.

Self submissible information

From time to time we may ask you to provide information on your experiences which will be used to measure and improve quality. You are at no time under any obligation to provide any of such data. Any and all information which is voluntarily submitted in feedback forms on the website or any survey that you take part in is used for the purposes of reviewing this feedback and improving ChatTime.

Accessing and using ChatTime software

ChatTime uses analytics partners including Google Analytics and Flurry Analytics, to gather anonymous statistical and analytical information about how users use ChatTime websites and software clients. For example, these partners gather and aggregate data on page views and clicks on our sites, the search engines and keywords used to find our sites, links accessed from our sites, error and crash information about our clients, and similar information. These analytics are not used to track your journey to other websites or to identify you.

Our privacy policy does not apply to such sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of those sites.

What Steps Do We Take To Protect Your Information Online?

We take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Please be aware, however, that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Accessing and Modifying Your Information

If you have an account, you can access and modify the personal information you provided us that is associated with your account. You may "opt out" of receiving marketing or promotional emails from us by changing your account preferences or by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out of these messages, you will still receive emails from us, about your account, our services and other pertinent information related to our services. These communications are considered part of the service and your account, which you cannot opt-out from receiving.

If you want to delete your information and your account, please contact us with a request that we delete your account and information. We will take steps to delete your information as soon as is practicable, but some information may remain in archived/backup copies for our records and as otherwise required by law.

International Users

By using ChatTime and providing information to us, you accept your information may be transferred across international geographical boundaries. By using ChatTime you consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage and disclosure of your information as described in this privacy policy.


Any information that is collected is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may, however, modify and revise our privacy policy from time-to-time. If we make any material changes to this policy, we will notify you of such changes by posting them on or by sending you an email or other notification, and we will indicate when such changes will become effective. By continuing to use ChatTime after those changes become effective, you are agreeing to be bound by the revised policy.
